About Horn Factory
Since 1996, Horn Factory has been bringing together top jazz talent from across the East of England to deliver our own brand of fast moving, hard hitting, toe tapping contemporary jazz.
We have performed at jazz clubs, theatres, and festivals across East Anglia and beyond, including regular performances at Ipswich Jazz and Blues Club, Milestones Jazz Club, Colchester Arts Centre, Fleece Jazz and Jazz by the Waterfront.
The Music
Our shows bring together jazz lovers of all ages, from seasoned big band fans to newcomers who just want to experience the explosive sound of a big band up close – there’s nothing quite like it!
We perform a dynamic mix of contemporary big band jazz from composers such as Buddy Rich, Bob Mintzer, James Morrison, Sammy Nestico and Gordon Goodwin. Our repertoire also includes arrangements of music normally associated with smaller groups, including music from the likes of Pat Metheny, Chick Corea and Horace Silver.
Most of the charts have been composed in the last 15 years, bringing the big band genre right up to date with music that absolutely crackles with energy.
